Woody's Cafe

In December of 2013 The Sheriff's Office entered into an annual contract with CBM Managed Services to provide a comprehensive food service program beginning in the "Old" Richmond City Jail. On July 26, 2014 at 5:00am, CBM served the first ever breakfast in the brand new Richmond City Justice Center (RCJC.) CBM is responsible for the daily operation of a state of the art resident kitchen totaling 10,860 square feet and a staff dining hall affectionately named "Woody's Café" totaling 2,540 square feet housed within the RCJC. CBM provides the following services based on contractual obligations:

  • Maintain a jail resident kitchen that is in compliance with City of Richmond and State of Virginia Department of Health.
  • Provide a four week menu cycle that allows for three meals per day which are prepared in accordance with the Recommended Daily Allowances (RDA) as mandated by the National Academy of Sciences.
  • Operate on a daily basis and provide Sheriff's Office staff with an opportunity to purchase meals during all shifts.
  • Provide our jail residents with a mutually agreed upon medical diet program that is prescribed by our contracted medical service provider.
