Community, Youth, and Intervention Services (CYIS) is designed to improve the quality of life in neighborhoods, along with placing a greater emphasis on young people.

CYIS is comprised of the following units: Community Care, Hispanic Liaison Officer, Police Athletic League, Community Assisted Public Safety (CAPS), McGruff Safe Kids, Volunteers in Policing, Richmond Police Athletic League and Police Explorers and School Resource Officers.
